Kiliana Choir VisitThe Kiliana Choir arrived in Kendal on the evening of Thursday
7th February after a day visit to York and were all very excited
about spending time with their host families. Most of the girls
were also looking forward to spending a day in a "normal
English school", which they did on the Friday. Some comments
were that the girls thought that the English teachers were
much friendly to the pupils than Belgium teachers !! Everyone
met up on the Friday evening for a rehearsal and games lead
very well by Sarah and Alex. Read more...

Autumn/Winter 2007
Saturday 15th December 2007 - Amabile Choir performed with
Lakeland Sinfonia at Kendal Leisure Centre in the Twenty Sixth
Christmas Charity Concert. The girls performed a "Winter
Selection" with the orchestra, conducted by Wyn Davies as
well as performing a selection from the choir's own portfolio. A
truly memorable night which could not have failed to get
anyone into the Christmas spirit.
Thursday 6th December 2007 - We had a delightful concert at
Kendal Parish Church with all three choirs performing along
with the Nelson Arian Male Voice Choir from Barrowsford.
Despite the dreadful, inclement weather, there was a huge
audience who fully appreciated the beautiful singing.
In November 2007, the girls travelled to the Rheged Centre in
Penrith to sing during the BBC Children in Need evening. The
girls sang on the stage in the main foyer-Pudsey Bear was
there together with a large crowd, who thoroughly enjoyed the
evening's entertainment.

In October 2007, the trip to Toronto, Canada was a wonderful
experience. With five concerts and two workshops, there was
always plenty to do-together with trips to the CN Tower in
Toronto, pumpkin picking in Buffalo USA, and a day trip to
Niagara Falls, where the girls all posed for a group photo. The
girls stayed with two host families to sample real North American
lifestyles.

The Training Choir had a fantastic time away at Guy's Farm in
March 2007. Our action packed itinerary included craft sessions,
outdoor activities, singing workshops with Miss Frances and
Miss Rachel and a wonderful talent show on Saturday evening
with everything from violin solos to choreographed dance
routines. On Sunday afternoon, we rounded off the weekend
with a concert and afternoon tea for parents and friends.
